Overview

When you sign up for your EA Account, you agree to play by our rules. These rules help keep games fair and fun for everyone. Keep yourself and other players safe by reporting harassment, cheating, and inappropriate or illegal content.

How to report cheating, harassment, and illegal content

When submitting a report, make sure you use the category that best fits the issue. Don't report content as illegal, unless you think a criminal offence has been committed in our game or service. You can learn more about what counts as illegal content and how we handle these reports in our article. 

EA app

    Open your Friends List.
  2. 2
    Select the Add a Friend button.
  3. 3
    Search for the ID of the user you want to report.
  4. 4
    Select their name to open the user's Profile.
  5. 5
    Select the kebab menu (ᐧᐧᐧ) beside their profile name.
  6. 6
    Select ⚠️ Send Report.
  7. 7
    Select why you’re reporting the player.
  8. 8
    Tell us where the incident you're reporting happened.
  9. 9
    Give us any other additional information that will help us investigate.
  10. 10
    Select Submit

EA Forums

On EA Forums, you can flag and report the post itself.

    Go to the post you’re reporting and select the three dots in the top right corner.

    Select Report.
  3. 3
    Fill out the reporting form and select Submit.

Game forums

You can report posts there, too.

    Make sure you’re logged in to the forum where you saw the post you wanted to report.

    Find the post.
  3. 3
    Click the Flag button on it.
  4. 4
    Click Report.
  5. 5
    Choose a Reason to let us know why you’re reporting it.
  6. 6
    Click Send report.

POGO Forums

    Make sure you’re logged in to POGO Forums.
  2. 2
    Find the post you want to report.
  3. 3
    Click the ! button.
  4. 4
    Choose a Reason to let us know why you’re reporting it. Make sure to provide any additional information.

    Select Submit.
You can also report messages.

    Make sure you’re logged in to POGO Forums so you can view your messages.
  2. 2
    Find the message you want to report.
  3. 3
    Select the person with the flag on it. 
  4. 4
    Choose a Reason to let us know why you’re reporting it. Make sure to provide any additional information.

    Select Report.

EA Help

Reporting an in-game issue

You should only report game-specific issues on EA Help when in-game reporting isn’t available. Using in-game reporting ensures that your report is handled correctly.If in-game reporting isn’t available follow the below steps.

    Go to the Report a player webform.
  2. 2
    Select the game or product where you encountered the issue.
  3. 3
    Describe your issue by providing the reason for your report, the username of the player you’re reporting, and the date the activity occurred.
  4. 4
    Select Submit and we’ll take it from there.

Reporting illegal content

    Go to the Report illegal content webform.
  2. 2
    Select the game or product where you encountered the issue.
  3. 3
    Describe your issue by providing:
    • the type of content you’re reporting
    • the username of the user responsible, and
    • what law they’re breaking.

    Select Submit and we’ll take it from there.
Additional reporting options for Australian playersPlayers in Australia can also report illegal and harmful content to the eSafety Commissioner.The eSafety Commissioner is Australia’s independent regulator for online safety and helps safeguard Australians from the most serious forms of online harm.

PlayStation® and Xbox

If you want to report another player’s username ID or gamertag, or if another player has sent you harassing messages in a chat on PlayStation® or Xbox, you can report them directly to PlayStation® and Xbox. 

Social media

If you’ve seen something on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, or another online platform, make a report directly to that platform.

In-game reporting

When players break our rules, some games let you report cheating, harassment, and inappropriate or illegal content in-game. This is the best way to report issues because it automatically grabs some of the information we need to investigate. If there’s no in-game option, you can submit a report through EA Help.

Once you’ve submitted a report

We’ll investigate it and take action according to our policies. For privacy reasons, we can’t give you information about our investigation or what actions we take on another player’s account.If you get an email update from us saying we didn’t take action on the account, the case will be closed.
